PURPOSE OF JOB: Support Speech-Language Pathologists regarding current practices in assessment and student services. Assist in the development of instructional models that support students in the general curriculum.
ESSENTIA L DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following.
- Assist with professional development to include orientation and ongoing training for new Speech __ Language
- Assist with assessment and interpretation of assessments using professionally sound procedures.
- Consult on and attend, as needed, Eligibility/IEP meetings for new staff and Clinical
- Maintain and coordinate testing/resource
- Assist with Assistive Technology processes including acting as member of assessment team and obtaining/lending AT equipment as appropriate for students with augmentative communication needs.
- Consult with the Curriculum Team to ensure that students’ language needs are addressed within the general education setting, as
- Other duties as assigned
- Master’s or higher degree from a state—approved program tor speech-language pathologists;
- Missouri Certification in Speech/Language Pathology K—1 2
- Licensed by Missouri Board of Healing Arts and/or Certificate of Clinical Competence from American Speech/Language Hearing Association
- Minimum of five (5) years of successful Speech Language Pathologist experience Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable
