PURPOSE OF JOB: To organize and support District School Psychologist/School Psychological Examiners to function in the most efficient and effective method possible while serving the needs of the Exceptional Education Department and the students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Reviews workloads and disseminates assignments to school psychologists.
- Leads and organizes weekly student assessment review meetings.
- Facilitates following state and federal guidelines for assessment and eligibility.
- Respond to parent concerns regarding the assessment process
- Manages inventory of individualized assessment tools and projects needs for budgeting.
- Disseminates updates and best practices information to school psychologists in collaboration with the Director of Special Education.
- Assists in planning and providing high-quality professional development for school psychologists.
- Collaborates with principals as needed regarding interventions, evaluations, and provision of special education services.
- Provides guidance on problem-solving teams and helps school teams in implementing multi-tiered models of student support
- Monitors and promotes compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA) regulations, the Missouri Plan for Special Education, and district compliance plans.
- Assists the Director of Special Education in Performance Based Evaluations of school psychologists.
- Fulfills the duties of a district school psychologist including conducting evaluations to determine eligibility for services; consultation with teachers regarding academic, social, or behavioral issues; and providing direct intervention to students.

- Applies ethics and standards of professional practice in the delivery of school psychological services and observes relevant laws and policies that govern practice.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Missouri Certification as school psychologist
5 Years experience as a school psychologist
