Secondary Mathematics Teacher. School District of Kansas City 33 d/b/a Kansas City Public Schools. Kansas City, Missouri. Instruct students by lecturing, demonstrating, and using audiovisual aids and other materials to supplement mathematics presentations. Prepare mathematic course objectives and outline for course of study following curriculum guidelines and requirements of state and school. Assign mathematic lessons and correct homework. Administer tests to evaluate pupil progress, records, results, and issue reports to inform parents of progress. Keep an attendance record. Maintain discipline in the classroom. Meets with parents to discuss student progress and problems. Participate in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops. Perform related duties such as sponsoring one or more activities or student organizations, assisting pupils in selecting a course of study, and counseling students in adjustment and academic problems. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Education or any field acceptable for Missouri State Teacher Certification. Requires a Missouri State Teacher Certification in Mathematics (5-9) (9-12). Demonstrated ability to teach in secondary education.
