Job Title: Real World Learning Manager

Salary Grade: S65 $71,136-$111,513

Department: Career and Technical Education 

Reports To: School Leadership

FLSA Status: Exempt 

 

 

PURPOSE OF JOB:  The Real World Learning Manager provides enhanced educational opportunities that signals career and college readiness by providing students access to market value assets before high school graduation.  
 
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  1. Increases partnerships that sponsor educational opportunities which benefit students
  2. Communicates with parents, school personnel, and partners for the purpose of ensuring that access to Real World Learning grows each year
  3. Evaluates the effectiveness of the Real World Learning efforts by providing regular support and feedback as needed to encourage the evolution of increasing market value asset offerings
  4. Partner with Curriculum and Instruction and Professional Development to review, refine, design and align the curriculum and materials from middle school to 12th grade to allow students to practice and gain access to Real World Learning opportunities
  5. Effectively organize major Real World Learning activities: Community Service, Passion Fair, and Exhibitions, Internships, Shadow Days, etc.
  6. Routinely offer professional development on elements of Real World Learning.
  7. Conducts parent meetings for the purpose of informing them about enhanced educational offerings and gaining information and/or discussing needs and challenges involving students and families
  8. Confers with teachers, parents and/or appropriate partners for the purpose of assisting in the evaluation of market value assets their impact on student achievement
  9. Coordinates with industry, community leaders, and philanthropic organizations for the purpose of building resources and expanding program capacity
  10. Maintains a database of parent, industry, and philanthropic contacts and volunteers for the purpose of developing ongoing communication and ad hoc committees
  11. Organizes various activities (e.g. presentations, forums, volunteer opportunities, etc.) for the purpose of providing support to the schools, students, and parents
  12. Partner with district departments to ensure correct data is reported and show on student transcripts
  13. Manages quarterly stakeholder meetings; plan end of yearrecognition luncheon for students and partners 
  14. Conducts year end needs assessment to help the Real World Learning committee develop new market value assets and strengthen the following year’s offerings
  15. Manages marketing activities and policies to promote Real World Learning
  16. Partner with Director of CTE to provide leadership to the Real World Learning Advisory Board
  17. Other related duties as assigned

Length of Work Year: 12 months
