We are currently accepting applications for District Substitutes for the 2022-2024 School Year.
JOB DUTIES:
- Perform the classroom duties of an absent teacher.
- Prepare and execute course of study as prepared by Classroom Teacher, Building Administrator.
- Manage the classroom so that curriculum guidelines/requirements are fulfilled.
- Lecture, demonstrate, and use appropriate teaching aids to present subject matter to the students.
- Prepare, administer and/or correct assignments and tests.
- Record grades, attendance, academic achievement.
- Assist as directed by the building administration (Including clerical, cafeteria, bus duty, etc.).
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have completed a minimum of 36 semester hours of credit from a regionally accredited, academic degree-granting, college or university or complete 20 hours of online training via Frontline Education.
- Must have an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Must hold a Valid Content Substitute Certificate at the time of hire.
- Must pass the pre-employment background investigation.

This job requires that the employee be able to: sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, use hands, fingers, reach with hands and fingers; bend, stoop, lift objects of at least ten pounds. Job requires the employee occasionally to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Visual ability requires mono and color vision, close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Length of work year: 8 hours per day; 5 days/week; 187 work days
